  1. Cut down sugar, fat, and fast foods
  2. Note that this doesn’t say “cut out sugar, fat and fast foods.” It says to cut down. It’s okay to have dessert, a fast food meal, or a high-fat meal once in a while. The key is to employ moderation.

  3. Add healthy foods
  4. There’s always a lot of talk about not eating certain things but at Rancho Wellness we like to focus on what you should be eating. For example, more vegetables than protein, at least one fruit or vegetable at each meal, at least eight glasses of water a day, and beef up the amount of healthy foods you eat.

  5. Exercise daily
  6. This doesn’t have to mean working out at your gym for two hours every day. Just getting up and getting moving is important. We recommend you try to be active for at least half an hour every day, whether it’s walking, biking, or swimming. If this seems like a lot, keep in mind that you can break it up into smaller increments. For example, you may choose to take three, ten minute walks.

  7. Take the stairs more often
  8. One of the simplest way you can get your heart rate up at least once a day is to take the stairs when possible. If you work in an office building that’s on the 25th floor, then this may not be possible, but you may be able to climb the first five flights before stopping at the elevator bank on a floor.

  9. Quit smoking
  10. Yes, we know how hard this is. We also know that most people who quit try to quiet numerous times before they’re successful. As a result, even if you’ve tried before, keep trying. We can provide you with options that may work better than the ones you’ve tried in the past.

  11. Find the right supplements
  12. We know so much about the human body and the vitamins and minerals it needs, but it can be difficult to get them on a daily basis. That’s where supplements can be so helpful. At Rancho Wellness, we’re happy to go over your health history, talk about what you’re worried about, and do some testing to see which supplements may work for you.
